About the Role
Central Victoria Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time RVT to join a dynamic emergency medicine team. You'll work closely with experienced emergency DVMs and board-certified criticalists, gaining exposure to advanced anesthesia protocols and emergency procedures in a fast-paced, supportive environment. The hospital actively welcomes new graduates and pairs them with mentorship to accelerate their technical growth. A rotating schedule is required, but the team is committed to work-life balance — no glorified burnout here.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures including venipuncture, catheter placement, radiography, and anesthesia monitoring
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate medical records
- Support emergency and critical care protocols under DVM supervision
- Work collaboratively with DVMs, board-certified criticalists, and fellow technicians
- Communicate clearly with pet owners during procedures and care updates
- Contribute to problem-solving in a steady, often high-volume environment
- Continuously refine technical skills through on-the-job training and learning opportunities
Requirements
- Current RVT registration or eligibility to register in British Columbia
- Comfort working in a rotating schedule at an emergency facility
- Strong clinical foundation in venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and patient assessment
- Genuine enthusiasm for deepening technical expertise
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, steady environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and pet owners
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities
- Genuine passion for animal care
