Calgary North Animal Hospital is bringing on a part-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join a supportive team that genuinely invests in its people. Key Responsibilities

  • Surgical preparation, assisting, and post-operative patient recovery
  • Patient assessment and monitoring, including anesthesia during procedures
  • Venipuncture, catheter placement, and pharmacy support
  • Radiology assistance and hands-free radiography
  • Maintaining detailed, accurate patient medical records
  • Providing compassionate care to hospitalized patients and clear communication with pet parents
  • Juggling multiple priorities while problem-solving independently or knowing when to ask for clarity
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues and clients

Requirements

  • Completion of a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist program
  • RVT registration or eligibility
  • Solid grasp of physical examination, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and venipuncture techniques
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate patient records
  • Compassionate approach to animal care and client communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Genuine passion for learning and growing in the role
