About the Role

You'll be joining Eastern Shore Veterinary Hospital, a fully-equipped small animal practice that's been serving the Porters Lake community since 1979. This is your chance to work alongside a seasoned team of RVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Care Specialists—all Fear Free certified—where learning and development are built into the culture.

The practice is Cat Friendly accredited at Silver level and values client education and community involvement. You'll have the flexibility to work full-time or part-time hours that suit your lifestyle. If you're considering a move to Nova Scotia, a relocation bonus is available. Porters Lake itself is a draw: one of the largest lakes in the province with numerous access points for boating, swimming, fishing, and water sports, plus spas and plenty of local amenities to explore.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on veterinary care with a focus on surgery and dentistry
• Educate clients about their pets' health and treatment options
• Collaborate with RVTs, Veterinary Assistants, and Client Care Specialists on patient care
• Contribute to community involvement initiatives
• Participate in ongoing professional development within the practice

Requirements

• Licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to practise veterinary medicine in Nova Scotia
• Experience and demonstrated interest in surgery and dentistry
• Passion for veterinary medicine and client education
• Enthusiasm, energy, and a positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members
• Strong commitment to community involvement
