About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to establish yourself as a medical oncologist in a thriving specialty practice within a 24-hour emergency and referral hospital. You'll work collaboratively with one other board-certified oncologist (DACVIM Oncology) and a robust specialty team that includes cardiologists, anesthesiologists, neurologists, criticalists, surgeons, and internists. The caseload is diverse and steadily growing in a recently renovated 21,000 sq ft facility equipped to support advanced oncology care.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical oncology case management and treatment planning for referred patients
- Collaborate with the oncology colleague and broader specialty team on complex cases
- Mentor rotating interns and support their professional development
- Provide continuing education to referring veterinarians
- Participate in specialty rounds and case conferences
- Contribute to the practice's teaching and research culture
Requirements
- Board certification in Medical Oncology (ACVIM) or nearing completion of residency training with eligibility for board exams
- Valid veterinary licence in Ontario
- Strong collaborative and communication skills

The practice operates a robust specialty program with board-certified staff across multiple disciplines, supported by a dedicated emergency and critical care team of twelve full- and part-time veterinarians, plus a rotating internship program.
