As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you'll support veterinarians across medical, surgical, and dental procedures. Your day involves handling diagnostic equipment, prepping patients and instruments for surgery, administering and monitoring medications, and building positive relationships with clients. Whether you're seeking full-time or part-time work, the team is flexible about scheduling to match your life outside the clinic.

Located west of the Don Valley Parkway on Lawrence Avenue East (across from Shops on Don Mills), the hospital offers a full range of services including internal medicine, surgery, dentistry, nutritional consulting, and behavioural support.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and dental procedures under direct supervision
• Operate and maintain a range of diagnostic equipment
• Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures
• Administer and monitor medications according to veterinarian direction
• Provide compassionate client care and build positive relationships with pet owners
• Maintain a warm, respectful, and professional environment for clients and their pets

Requirements

• Passed the VTNE or eligible to write the VTNE
• In good standing with your provincial regulatory association
• Completion of a 2- or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program
• Genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets
• Strong communication and customer service skills
