Veterinarian (DVM)

About the Role

Blue Sky Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinarian (DVM) to join its growing practice in North Bay, Ontario. This is a new full-time position offering 4–5 days per week, with flexibility to accommodate your preferred schedule. You'll work alongside an experienced DVM and three Registered Veterinary Technicians, delivering compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse caseload in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary clinical care with a focus on high-standard medical expertise
• Perform surgical and dental procedures with confidence and proficiency
• Make independent clinical decisions and manage complex cases
• Respond to emergencies with clinical competence and composure
• Demonstrate medical knowledge, teamwork, and emotional intelligence to lead and support the veterinary team
• Contribute to a culture of mentorship and continuous improvement

Requirements

• Valid or eligible-to-obtain full General Veterinary License in Ontario
• 3–7 years of veterinary experience
• Proficiency in surgical and dental procedures
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases independently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to high-quality medicine and professional standards
