About the Role

Foster Park Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinarian to assume a lead surgical position within the practice. Key Responsibilities

• Lead soft tissue surgical procedures and oversee surgical planning and execution
• Mentor veterinary students and junior veterinarians, including those participating in the Global Veterinary Bridge program
• Provide preventative care and nutritional guidance to patients
• Build strong relationships with pet parents and foster a collaborative team environment
• Contribute to a team-based medicine approach across the hospital
• Engage with the community and professional networks through conferences and networking events

Requirements

• Valid full veterinarian licence (DVM) for practice in Canada
• Minimum 3 years of experience in soft tissue surgical procedures
• Proven experience in preventative care and nutritional counselling
• Commitment to team-based medicine practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, clients, and the community
• Passion for coaching and mentoring veterinary students
• Interest in professional development and conference attendance
• Genuine care for companion animals
