About the Role
Guardian Veterinary Centre is seeking a board-certified or resident-trained neurologist to join its growing specialty team in Edmonton. This is a full-time opportunity with a practice that has built a solid reputation in the referral community since 2007, serving companion animals with advanced diagnostics and collaborative care.
You'll work in a 20,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility equipped with CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, and arthroscopy. Exciting news: the practice is expanding this year with 8,000 additional square feet, including a brand-new MRI, dedicated ICU, and expanded exam and procedure rooms. Your expertise will be valued by a team of highly skilled RVTs and an energetic emergency department that respects specialist input.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neurological diagnostic and treatment services for small companion animals
- Perform and interpret advanced imaging (MRI, CT, fluoroscopy) for neurological cases
- Collaborate with emergency medicine and other specialists to deliver integrated patient care
- Mentor and support the RVT team in surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Build relationships with referring veterinarians in the community
- Participate in case management, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Board certification in neurology (ACVIM) or resident training equivalent
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
- Valid Canadian veterinary licence (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong diagnostic and surgical skills in small animal neurology
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
