Veterinary Oncologist
Join a tight-knit specialist team in Edmonton where collaboration isn't buzzword—it's built into 10+ years of trust. Expand oncology services in a state-of-the-art facility with an incoming MRI and dedicated ICU.
About the Role
Guardian Veterinary Centre is expanding its oncology department, and they're looking for a board-certified veterinary oncologist to lead and grow this service line. You'll be joining a rare practice culture where specialists have worked together for over a decade, creating genuine trust and support—not just on paper, but in how they actually work together every day.
This is a full-time position at a 20,000-square-foot specialty and emergency hospital in Edmonton. You'll have access to state-of-the-art diagnostics including CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, and arthroscopy. Better yet, the practice is investing heavily in oncology this year with 8,000 square feet of brand-new dedicated facilities, an upgraded ICU, additional exam rooms, and an MRI installation. You'll also benefit from an onsite digital cytology analyzer for rapid pathology turnaround.
The team here values work-life balance and has made it a core commitment. You'll work alongside highly skilled Registered Veterinary Technicians who are utilized to their full potential, and collaborate with an energetic emergency team that respects specialist input. Guardian serves a massive referral footprint—Northern Alberta, Northern BC, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut—built on a reputation for genuine, engaged care.
