About the Role

A well-established emergency hospital in Ottawa is actively seeking experienced Emergency Veterinarians to join its expanding team. This is a role for confident clinicians ready to step into a busy, collaborative practice and make an immediate impact on a diverse caseload of acute and critical cases.

You'll work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, including nights and weekends, in a modern facility with advanced diagnostics and strong support staff backing you up. The predictable schedule allows you to plan your life around work, not the other way around.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a wide range of emergency cases independently and confidently, from triage through treatment and discharge
  • Perform emergency surgical procedures as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the emergency team to provide high-quality, compassionate veterinary care
  • Contribute to a fast-paced, positive clinical environment

Requirements

  • Minimum 1–2 years of emergency medicine experience
  • Demonstrated surgical proficiency in an emergency setting
