About the Role

Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital of West Toronto is seeking experienced Emergency Veterinarians for full-time and part-time positions. Located in beautiful Mississauga, ON—just minutes from Lake Ontario—this 9,000 sq ft facility combines cutting-edge technology with a culture built on respect and genuine appreciation for each team member.

You'll work flexible schedules (full-time = 3×12 hour shifts per week) with dedicated support: every shift pairs you with an RVT and Animal Care Attendant, so you can focus entirely on patient care rather than juggling administrative tasks. The hospital features I-Stat, multi-parameter monitoring, digital X-ray, ultrasound, Evet, and Idexx in-house analyzers. A unique perk: bring your own pet to work and keep them in the dedicated pet ward.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and surgical veterinary care in a fully equipped, state-of-the-art facility
• Work collaboratively with RVTs and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care
• Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment (digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab analyzers) in clinical decision-making
• Manage emergency cases and surgical procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of emergency veterinary experience
• Valid veterinary license (Ontario)
• Not currently seeking locum or restricted license arrangements
