About the Role

VetWise is a virtual care provider transforming how veterinary services reach pet owners across Alberta and beyond. This fully remote position lets you control your schedule—whether you want to pick up shifts in your spare time or commit to part-time or full-time work, the choice is yours. You'll deliver virtual consultations to pet owners while collaborating with animal hospitals to ease their workload and extend care availability. The company maintains a tight-knit "mom and pop" culture despite its growth, prioritizing personal relationships and genuine support among team members.

This is work-from-home medicine without the compromises. You practice from the comfort of your home, choose shifts that fit your life (Monday–Friday, weekends, daytime, evening, or night), and contribute to a mission that actually matters: helping pet owners access care and giving overworked veterinarians breathing room.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide virtual consultations for pet owners across Alberta and other provinces as applicable
• Collaborate with animal hospitals to support their patient care needs
• Deliver quality remote veterinary medicine while maintaining clinical standards
• Opportunity to provide care for exotic animals if desired

Requirements

• Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
• Unrestricted license to practice veterinary medicine in Alberta
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• Passion for improving access to veterinary care
• Experience with exotic animals is a major plus
