Key Responsibilities
- Manage emergency and critical care cases across rotating shift patterns
- Stabilize and treat acutely ill or injured patients with strong decision-making in urgent scenarios
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff to deliver timely patient care
- Communicate clearly with pet owners during high-pressure situations
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment plans
Requirements
- Veterinary degree from an accredited institution
- Eligibility for registration with the provincial veterinary authority (Ontario College of Veterinarians)
- Comfort working rotating emergency schedules
