Join a thriving 250-person multi-specialty hospital where board-certified internists collaborate across 10+ specialties—quality medicine and work-life balance actually come first.
Work Schedule
No on-call requirements mentioned. Standard full-time position.
About the Role
King Animal Hospital is building something special: a 60,000 sq ft multi-specialty referral and emergency centre where internal medicine isn't squeezed into a production-focused model. You'll join an established Internal Medicine service with two other internists, working alongside specialists in surgery, neurology, critical care, dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, and emergency services. This is real collaboration—daily partnerships with other specialists, hospital-wide rounds, and genuine input into protocol development.
Your caseload will span the full breadth of internal medicine: GI, endocrine, hepatobiliary, immune-mediated, multisystem disease, and everything in between. You'll have access to advanced diagnostics—3T MRI, 128-slice CT, fluoroscopy, high-field ultrasound—plus in-house laboratory, pharmacy, advanced endoscopy, and minimally invasive surgery capabilities. The hospital prioritises thorough medicine and collaborative decision-making, with strong RVT and support staff backing up every clinical decision.
Located on 50 acres in King City, Ontario (about 40 minutes north of Toronto), the hospital offers a professional environment with genuine wellness infrastructure: an in-house social worker, corporate gym access, and a culture that actually values long-term career sustainability—not burnout.
