About the Role
Burlington Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinarian (DVM) to join the team on a fixed-term, full-time basis covering a maternity leave position. You'll be a key member of a collaborative practice committed to delivering exceptional companion animal care. This role welcomes experienced DVMs who understand the value of strong relationships with pet owners and team members alike.
As a team-based practitioner, you'll apply your clinical expertise across soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, and nutritional counselling while mentoring veterinary students and contributing to the broader professional community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive veterinary care for companion animals, including diagnostics, surgery, and preventative medicine
- Perform soft tissue surgical procedures and manage post-operative care
- Deliver nutritional guidance and preventative health recommendations to clients
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pet owners and the local community
- Mentor veterinary students and support their professional development
- Participate in professional development through conferences and continuing education
Requirements
- Valid veterinarian licence to practice in Canada
- Demonstrated proficiency in soft tissue surgery and preventative care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
