Veterinary Radiologist
Shape the future of specialty imaging in Alberta. WVSEC's expanding radiology department is looking for a collaborative radiologist who thrives on interesting cases and wants flexibility — think hybrid clinical and teleradiology work.
Work Schedule
No on-call duty mentioned. Role is flexible casual/part-time with hybrid clinical and teleradiology options.
About the Role
Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre is seeking a Veterinary Radiologist to join one of Canada's most comprehensive small animal specialty and 24-hour emergency practices. This is a unique opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding radiology department at a facility that's adding cutting-edge imaging capabilities — including an on-site MRI — while maintaining a strong referral base of over 75 partner hospitals across a 1.2 million person trade area.
The role offers genuine flexibility: you can structure your work as casual, part-time, or hybrid between in-clinic radiography and teleradiology. This means you get real agency in how you balance your clinical practice with remote work — not just empty promises of flexibility, but built into the job itself. You'll be collaborating with specialists across Critical Care, Dermatology, Oncology, Surgery, and Internal Medicine, plus the 24-hour emergency team, in a hospital culture that genuinely values teamwork and camaraderie. The facility is exceptionally well-equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, CT scanner, and a complete on-site diagnostic laboratory.
Calgary itself is a gateway to the Canadian Rockies — an hour's drive puts you at world-class hiking, skiing, rafting, and camping. Banff and Lake Louise are close enough for weekend trips, while the city offers cosmopolitan dining and shopping without feeling cramped.
