About the Role
Beattie Pet Hospital East Hamilton is actively recruiting veterinary technicians who are ready to make an impact in a modern, supportive environment. You'll work four 10–12 hour shifts per week—a schedule designed to get you home to the people and activities you care about, without the burnout of on-call or night shift rotations.
In this role, you'll manage patient care, assist with emergency medicine cases, and monitor surgical procedures. Strong communication with clients is essential, and you won't be doing it alone—an experienced support team is in place to help you succeed. The practice has invested in state-of-the-art equipment including digital radiographs, in-house diagnostics, and laser surgery capability, so you'll be working with modern tools that make your job easier.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on patient care in a hospital setting
- Assist with emergency medicine cases and procedures
- Monitor patients during and after surgical procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients about their pets' care and treatment
- Support the veterinarian and broader clinical team in daily operations
Requirements
- Diverse experience as a veterinary technician
- Comfort working with patient care, emergency medicine, and surgical monitoring
- Strong commitment to customer service and client communication
