About the Role

Stittsville Small Animal Clinic is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to become part of a respected local practice with deep roots in the community. Key Responsibilities

  • Surgical preparation, assisting, and patient recovery
  • Anesthesia monitoring and management
  • Venipuncture, catheter placement, and radiology
  • Physical examinations and patient assessment
  • Pharmacy support and medication management
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
  • Provide compassionate care for hospitalized patients and support their families
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively while problem-solving and asking clarifying questions when needed
  • Collaborate professionally with colleagues and pet owners

Requirements

  • Completed Veterinary Technician or Animal Health Technician program (eligible to register as RVT)
  • Knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy
  • Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records
  • Strong interpersonal skills with colleagues and pet owners
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Passion to continuously learn and grow within the role
  • Genuine love for companion animals
