About the Role

North Shore Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to deliver compassionate companion animal care in a collegial, professionally stimulating practice. This position offers exposure to soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, and nutritional counselling in a modern facility backed by extensive in-house educational resources. Team-based medicine is the foundation here; you'll collaborate with a supportive clinical team and help mentor veterinary students embarking on their DVM journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary companion animal veterinary care, including soft tissue surgical procedures
• Develop and deliver preventative care plans tailored to individual patients
• Offer evidence-based nutritional guidance to clients
• Foster a team-based approach to medicine, working collaboratively with RVTs and support staff
• Build strong relationships with pet parents to enhance compliance and outcomes
• Mentor and coach veterinary students and junior team members
• Engage in continuing education and professional networking activities

Requirements

• Valid veterinarian licence to practise in Canada (DVM/equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and nutritional counselling
• Commitment to collaborative, team-based medicine practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, clients, and community members
• Passion for mentoring and supporting junior veterinarians and students
• Willingness to pursue professional development through conferences and continuing education
• Genuine enthusiasm for companion animal medicine
