About the Role

Join Delaney Veterinary Services as an Associate Veterinarian focused on equine sports medicine. You'll work in a dedicated Sports Medicine/Lameness facility conducting daily lameness examinations, performing lameness evaluations in surrounding barns, and developing high-level sports medicine expertise. On-call duties are shared equally among the team and tailored to your capabilities as you develop. This role offers the chance to work with equine athletes and their dedicated owners, making a real difference in performance and recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily lameness examinations in the dedicated Sports Medicine/Lameness facility
• Perform lameness evaluations at client barns throughout the region
• Provide ambulatory, medical, and surgical equine services
• Participate in on-call duties (shared among team members, tailored to your experience level)
• Contribute to advanced diagnostics and rehabilitation services
• Collaborate with the referral network across central and northern Alberta

Requirements

• Valid DVM/veterinary degree and Alberta veterinary licence (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong interest in equine sports medicine (prior experience welcome but not required)
• Willingness to work in both facility-based and ambulatory settings
