Sport Horse & Lameness Veterinarian
Four-day weeks, world-class diagnostic equipment, and a collaborative team that genuinely supports your growth — this is equine practice done right.
Work Schedule
One weekday and one weekend on-call per month, with paid day off following each on-call weekend
About the Role
McKee-Pownall Equine Services (MPES) is seeking an experienced equine veterinarian with a strong foundation in sport horse medicine and lameness work. You'll practice at a high clinical level within one of Canada's most respected equine clinics, working alongside colleagues who share deep expertise in sport horse medicine, advanced dentistry, internal medicine, reproduction, and diagnostic imaging.
The role offers something rare in veterinary medicine: genuine work-life balance paired with meaningful clinical work. You'll work a four-day week with one weekday and one weekend on-call rotation per month — and importantly, you get a paid day off after each on-call weekend. That's approximately 28 paid days off annually, plus five personal/emergency days. Located in Campbellville, Ontario (within an hour of Toronto), you'll have access to vibrant urban amenities, outdoor recreation, and a thriving horse community all within reach.
Your colleagues regularly review cases and imaging together, creating an environment where professional growth is genuine and supported — not just a recruiting tagline.
