About the Role

Tri Lake Animal Hospital & Referral Centre in Lake Country, BC is actively building its internal medicine department and seeking a DACVIM or ECVIM boarded veterinarian (or candidate preparing to write boards in 2027) to take the helm. This is a leadership opportunity where you'll develop the department while building strong relationships with referring veterinarians and pet parents across the Okanagan Valley.

You'll work in a newly expanded hybrid practice that serves both general cases and complex referrals. The hospital invested significantly in infrastructure—including a 64-slice CT scanner, ultrasound suite, endoscopy capability, and four operating rooms—to support the kind of medicine you want to practice. The team is collaborative and genuinely committed to professional growth and balanced living.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the internal medicine support team, fostering a culture of continuous learning
• Manage complex diagnostic cases, leveraging advanced imaging and lab capabilities
• Perform ultrasound and endoscopy procedures with excellence and confidence
• Build and maintain referral relationships with regional veterinarians
• Contribute to departmental development and strategic planning
• Deliver exceptional client communication and patient care

Requirements

• DACVIM or ECVIM board certification, or candidate actively preparing to write boards in 2027
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Proficiency in advanced diagnostics, ultrasound, and endoscopy
• Demonstrated excellent client service and relationship-building skills
• Team player attitude with a positive, collaborative approach
• Valid veterinary licence in British Columbia or eligible to obtain
