About the Role

Marlborough Animal Hospital is looking for a fully licensed Veterinarian to join their welcoming, team-oriented practice in Calgary. You'll build meaningful relationships with pet parents while working alongside a collaborative support team to deliver excellent patient care. This is a fixed-term full-time position with a structured schedule that maintains flexibility for walk-in patients and clinical needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a full schedule of appointments per shift, while remaining flexible to address walk-ins
  • Perform advanced surgical procedures with confidence
  • Deliver preventative care including vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition counselling, laboratory screening, and wellness planning
  • Provide routine and advanced dental care for dogs and cats, including examinations, professional cleanings with scaling and polishing, radiographs, and extractions or other advanced procedures as appropriate
  • Support senior pets by monitoring health, managing chronic conditions, and providing preventive care to maintain quality of life
  • Build trusted relationships with pet owners through clear communication and compassionate care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow best practices in patient care and hospital protocols
  • Collaborate within a team-based veterinary medicine environment, recognizing the importance of every role in delivering exceptional client and patient care

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Canada (full license)
  • Confident working independently and performing elective surgeries and other common procedures
  • Ability to provide comprehensive veterinary dental care for dogs and cats, including oral examinations, professional cleanings, radiographs, and advanced procedures such as extractions
  • Commitment to providing heart-centered care and high-quality veterinary medicine
