Toronto, ON
Contract / Temporary, Locum / Relief
No On-Call

Join Juno's mission to reshape veterinary medicine in Canada. As a locum DVM in Toronto/GTA, you'll work with a collaborative team that actually puts vet wellbeing first — not just patients.

About the Role

Juno Veterinary is building something different in the Canadian veterinary space, and they're looking for locum DVMs to help establish their standard of care across the GTA. This contract-based position lets you work flexibly while being part of an early-stage company genuinely committed to improving the profession — not just for pets and their owners, but for the veterinary team itself.

You'll deliver clinical care across a diverse caseload, from wellness visits to urgent cases, working alongside empowered vet techs and support staff who are trained to excel. The role offers exposure to multiple disciplines including medicine, dentistry, surgery, and emergency care. Juno's clinics are designed for vets — expect a workplace where your voice matters, collaboration is built in, and judgment-free support is the norm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality medical care to Juno Veterinary patients across wellness, routine, and urgent cases
  • Work collaboratively with clinic teams trained to deliver exceptional client experiences both in-person and virtually
  • Develop or refine skills in urgent/emergency care, general practice, surgery, and dentistry
  • Model and encourage Juno's cultural values: collaboration, growth, self-compassion, and authentic communication

Requirements

  • DVM or VMD degree with a valid Ontario veterinary licence
  • Minimum 1+ years of veterinary medicine experience (preferred focus: routine and urgent medicine, dentistry, surgery)
  • Rotating internship experience is a plus
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding professional ethics
  • Ability to maintain a flexible, dynamic schedule
  • Alignment with Juno's mission to improve the veterinary experience for patients, clients, and team members

Benefits

Specific compensation and benefits were not listed in the job posting. Contact Juno directly to discuss contract terms, hourly/daily rates, and any benefits available to locum veterinarians.

About the Practice

Juno Veterinary is a consumer-tech-enabled veterinary practice on a mission to establish a new standard for the industry across Canada. They're assembling a team of innovative thinkers in both veterinary medicine and technology to reshape how pet care is delivered and experienced. The organization prioritizes the wellbeing of its team members as much as patient care — you'll be joining a workplace where vets, vet techs, and support staff are genuinely empowered to lead, collaborate, and make decisions.

The culture is built on four pillars: pet and pet parent focus, a clinic designed for vets and care teams, integrity and transparency, and genuine teamwork. Juno is early-stage and energized — if you're looking to be part of building something new in veterinary medicine rather than maintaining the status quo, this is the opportunity to make a real impact.
