About the Role
404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital is building a casual RVT pool to support its 24-hour emergency services. You'll work varied shifts across days, evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight rotations, bringing your hard-earned credentials to a team that genuinely values the knowledge you've invested in. You'll pivot quickly between priorities, support multiple patients, and work alongside experienced doctors and technician supervisors. Key Responsibilities
- Support emergency services across multiple patient appointments and varying shift times
- Perform sample collection and catheter placement
- Assist with critical care and emergency procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and conduct physical examinations and patient assessments
- Support surgical preparation and emergency surgical assistance as needed
- Conduct laboratory work, pharmacy tasks, and patient recovery care
- Manage radiology procedures and contribute to digital medical record accuracy
- Work collaboratively with doctors and technician supervisors on varied clinical requirements
Requirements
- Current RVT registration (or equivalent credential)
- Proven casual or part-time RVT experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with dynamic, diverse teams
- Confidence and composure in demanding, high-stress emergency environments
- Exceptional multitasking ability and quick pivoting between tasks
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Genuine commitment to client service and animal welfare
- Ability to work under pressure with calm, caring approach
